Temporary Risk Management Specialist

_This is a temporary position that will last at least 8 weeks_
The **Risk Management Specialist** is responsible for managing all Workers Compensation or Auto and general liability claims related activities to support the Risk Management Department by conducting proficient investigation, evaluation and negotiation of claims to ensure proper reserving and payment.
The Risk Management Specialist encompasses both Workers Compensation functions and Auto/General Liability claims related functions.

+ Conducts proficient investigation, evaluation and negotiation of significant claims arising out of auto liability and general liability to ensure proper reserving and payment;
+ Maintain effective diary system and document claim file activities;
+ Perform administrative functions such as filing, check requests, payment/expense tracking;
+ Auto Claim Duties:
+ Contacts claimants and other insurance carriers to assist in setting up claims when we are contacted directly by the 3rd party
+ Prompt investigation and management of claims arising out of auto liability and general liability claims
+ Knowledge and understanding of US liability laws and litigation process
+ Maintain effective diary system and document claim file activities
+ Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
+ Experience in reviewing and setting claim reserves based on severity and jurisdiction of the claim
+ 2 years college or specialized training;
+ 3+ years of experience in a similar role;
+ Demonstrate solid verbal and written communication, negotiation, organization, and analytical skills;
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
+ Provide excellent customer service to internal and external;
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, and Outlook);
