The Idaho Division of Veterans Services (IDVS) is recruiting for a temporary, part-time (up to 16 hours per week) Registered Nurse Sr. (RN) to support our dedicated team of health care professionals at the State Veterans Home in Boise.
We offer 8-hour shifts and have primarily openings on our evening and night shift.
If you are an RN looking for one or two shifts per week, we can work with your schedule.
+ Evening shift employees earn an additional 10% shift differential
+ Night shift employees earn an additional 15% shift differential
The ideal candidate will be compassionate and motivated to provide exceptional care to our Veterans and perform lead professional nursing within a specialized program with either a staff or program oversight role; provide liaison with staff and the community.
Responsibilities:
+ Assesses, plans, evaluates, implements and monitors resident health problems and care related issues.
+ Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure all care needs are met.
+ Administers medications and treatments per provider orders.
+ Assigns, directs and evaluates LPN and CNA staff in care delivery on assigned shift.
Work responsibilities may involve one or more of the following areas:
+ Planning, conducting, and organizing clinical training sessions for agency staff.
+ Coordinating and maintaining liaison with other health agencies.
+ Monitoring of staffing and scheduling throughout the facility.
+ Conducting on-site Medicaid reviews.
+ Serving as administrative charge nurse for an entire facility
+ Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position.

+ Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse or state licensure as a Registered Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418. For licensure information, please contact the Idaho Board of Nursing at http://ib.idaho.gov or call (208) 577-2476
+ Experience performing nursing assessments and developing and implementing nursing care plans.
Clearance:
The Idaho Division of Veterans Services requires applicants to pass a criminal history background investigation after a conditional offer of employment.
