Temporary position$25.00 /hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday)The Temporary Maintenance Technician role is a full-time position scheduled with a pay rate of $25 per hour. Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues. Responsibilities also include upkeep of property grounds and facilities, preparing vacant units for occupancy (including trash removal), cleaning apartments, and addressing maintenance concerns in common areas. The technician will also support the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, participate in monthly safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards. Candidates must have their own hand tools and at least two years of experience in a maintenance technician role, with a minimum of one year of experience in electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair. Strong communication and customer service skills are required, as well as the ability to problem-solve and stay composed when addressing resident concerns. Experience in multi-level building structures and computer literacy are preferred. An HVAC certification is ideal, though extensive knowledge of HVAC troubleshooting will also be considered. Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Temporary Building Maintenance Tech Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of maintenance technician experience Hands-on experience with: Electrical systems (basic wiring, outlets, fixtures) Plumbing (toilets, sinks, leaks) Appliance repair (stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers) HVAC systems (troubleshooting, repairs; certification preferred) Knowledge of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Basic computer literacy (for work orders, reporting, etc.) Experience working in multi-level building structures (preferred) Tools & Equipment Must provide own hand tools (basic tool set for repairs and diagnostics) Familiarity with power tools and maintenance equipment
