What You'll Do
This is a six-month temporary position.
The Practice Area Coordinator (PAC) will deliver operational and business support for BCG’s Corporate Finance & Strategy (CFS) Practice Area, with a focus on both North America and global initiatives. This role encompasses managing budgets and reporting, driving marketing and communications activities, supporting people-related programs such as NAMR learning and development, affiliation, and alumni engagement, as well as organizing virtual and in-person events.
Key responsibilities include:
Affiliation & Alumni Engagement - Lead the affiliation process and take full ownership of learning and development initiatives in close collaboration with the NAMR Director. Support the growth of a CFS Alumni center of excellence by driving engagement and related activities.Communications Management - Oversee end-to-end execution of regional and global communications, including drafting and distributing newsletters and organizing virtual sessions to enhance visibility and alignment.Meeting Planning & Execution - Coordinate Practice Area meetings (virtual and in-person) by managing all aspects including invitations, agenda setting, logistics, budgeting, and on-site delivery to ensure seamless execution.Cross-Functional Partnership - Serve as a key liaison between CFS and other BCG Practice Areas, as well as core functions such as Finance, Meetings & Events, and Learning & Development to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment.Data Reporting & Analysis – Maintain dashboards, perform data analysis, and prepare financial and business reports to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking.CFS is BCG’s largest Practice Area and focuses on corporate strategy, corporate finance, and transactions & integrations, helping clients navigate challenges such as strategic planning, growth, innovation, risk management, and restructuring.

Experience & Education: 3–5+ years in a professional services or similar fast-paced environment, with a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, economics, communications, or a related fieldProject & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, operating with autonomy and sound judgment in both internal and external interactionsExecution & Problem Solving: Skilled at independently executing tasks, navigating processes and policies, and applying practical problem-solving within your scope of workOrganization & Communication: Exceptional planning and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilitiesMindset & Adaptability: Analytical and proactive thinker with a flexible, service-oriented attitude; remains composed under pressure and adaptable in changing environmentsTechnical Proficiency: Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel; ideally experienced with Trello, Slack, and SharePointWho You'll Work With
You will report to CFS Director – North America, coordinate closely with Regional PA Leaders, the Global Practice Management Senior Director, Global CFS Senior Manager and sector/topic Managers as well as the Business Services team, alongside Practice Area Coordinators both within the practice and across others.
