**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Telecommunications Technician** to join our team in **Guantanamo Bay, Cuba** **.** **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Install, set-up, rearrange, or remove switching, distribution, routing, and dialing equipment used in central offices. + Service or repair telephone, cable television, Internet, and other communications equipment on customers' property. + Performs layout, installation, termination, labeling, testing and certification of all associated cabling, to include but not limited to, CAT 3, CAT 5, CAT 5e, and CAT 6 twisted pair cable; single- or multi-strand multi-mode or single-mode fiber optic cable; and other associated video and data cables primarily within government facilities. + Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. + Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. + Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. **Basic Q** **ualifications:** + High School diploma + At least 2 years of relevant telecommunication installation experience. **Preferred Q** **ualifications:** + Security+ or equivalent IAT level II compliant certification + Specialized training in EIA/TIA 568 and 569 cable standards preferred. + Multi-vendor equipment experience is strongly preferred. + BICSI installation certification is strongly preferred. + Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired **Clearance Requirements:** + Must have an active TS/SCI clearance. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% + Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer + The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
