**Overview** Telecommunications Mechanic (FRCE-2025-23335): Bowhead is seeking an entry-level Telecommunications Mechanic to provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M) support at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRC East), MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina. This position supports voice and non-voice communications systems. **Responsibilities** Job duties to include but are not limited to: + Install, maintain, and repair voice/non-voice communications systems, including intercoms, public address systems, alarm systems, and key telephone systems. + Run and terminate cabling for telephone sets and non-voice circuits, including coaxial, fiber optic, and copper cabling. + Support the installation and servicing of terminal and communication equipment such as line drivers and teletype devices. + Conduct routine troubleshooting of customer premise station equipment. + Assist with testing, documentation, and inventory of telecom infrastructure and support systems. + Work in varied environments, including ceilings, crawlspaces, tunnels, and equipment rooms. **Qualifications** **Education:** + High school diploma or equivalent required. **Experience:** + Entry-level; 1–2 years of experience preferred but not required. Training provided. + Experience or coursework in electronics, structured cabling, or telecommunications systems is a plus. **Certifications (Preferred, Not Required):** + OSHA 10/30 + Basic Telecommunications or Structured Cabling certifications **Other Requirements:** + S. citizenship (required for base access). + Ability work in confined or elevated spaces. + Familiarity with hand tools and safety protocols. + Must adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards at FRC East. + Possession of a valid driver’s license; must be eligible to operate government vehicles.
