Telecommunications Billing Analyst
Job Summary Join our Digital Products and Services team, where we are committed to securely managing information systems throughout their lifecycle. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic professional to oversee telecommunications expense management and support cybersecurity best practices. Schedule: 8:00AM – 4:30PM Monday – Friday (Hourly) Location: Onsite – Winston Salem office Department: Telecommunications Key Responsibilities: + Information Security & Compliance + Maintain full awareness of information systems within your scope. + Understand the types of sensitive data stored, transmitted, or processed. + Enforce security principles such as least privilege and least functionality. + Identify potential cybersecurity incidents and understand your role in incident response. + Telecommunications Expense Management + Collaborate with Leadership, Business Line Owners, and Technology Vendors (hardware, software, wireless, and third-party). + Analyze telecommunications spend and identify cost-saving opportunities. + Implement initiatives to optimize and streamline the expense management process—from billing to end-user reporting. Qualifications + Education: High school diploma, required. Accounting, finance degree, required. + Experience: Two to five years of related experience, required. Telecommunications operations experience, required. + Telecommunications billing experience strongly preferred. + Licensure/Certification/Registration: Vendor Level Certificates, preferred. + Additional skills required: In depth knowledge of the Voice/Telecom infrastructure, specifically, MAN, WAN, Technology and Network components, PBX, Private Lines, and Usage based products, VOIP, Switched Voice and Virtual lines. Knowledge of the telecom industry tariff charges. Knowledge of the infrastructure cost allocation and chargeback. Strong organizational and management skills. Strong communication and inter personal skills. Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Visio. Knowledge of database management and project management. Knowledge of Market Data is a plus. Ability to walk between campus buildings and to drive to remote facilities as needed. Ability to travel out of town for education, conferences, and site visits, etc. Ability to be bonded and insured. Ability and desire to increase technical knowledge and skills as the complexity of the environment changes. Working knowledge of PBX, Systems Programming, voice mail, networks, wiring and specifications. Working knowledge of PCs/. Ability to take direction. Job Opening ID 73272
