Tele-Sitter Monitor Technicians are trusted safety professionals who monitor several patients at the same time using live video technology and clinical communication tools. This role is ideal for experienced CNAs, Patient Safety Attendants, or healthcare support professionals ready to take the next step in patient safety.
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Night Shift
Status: Full-Time (36 hours/week)
Department: Centralized / Patient Safety Monitoring
Location: Varies based on assignment
What You'll Do
+ Monitor multiple patients simultaneously via live video systems to support safety across various units and locations.
+ Identify and respond to early warning behaviors such as restlessness, confusion, attempts to get out of bed, or unsafe activity.
+ Communicate with patients through two-way audio to provide redirection and reassurance when appropriate.
+ Escalate concerns immediately to nursing staff, charge nurses, or security based on observed risk and urgency.
+ Accurately document patient behaviors, safety events, and interventions using electronic systems.
+ Maintain strict patient confidentiality and professional standards while monitoring video feeds.
+ Collaborate with bedside teams to ensure rapid, coordinated response to safety concerns.
+ Serve as a dependable, proactive safety partner for clinical teams during high-need shifts.
What We're Looking For
+ Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Two years of an undergraduate or graduate Psychology, Social Work or Human Services if NOT Nurse Aide certified, required.
+ Experience : Minimum of one year in an acute hospital setting, required. Minimum of one year as a Nurse Aide, Psychiatric Tech or other nursing support role, required.
+ Licensure/Certification: De-escalation class within 90 days of hire, required.
+ Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable. Maintains acceptable standards set by those guidelines. Must have advanced computer and Windows experience. Must demonstrate appropriate communication skills and sensitivity to patient’s needs. Must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status and identify behavioral needs to be reported to the nurse.
