Your role in a nutshell:The Telco E2E Finance Specialist – Interconnection is responsible for delivering end-to-end financial and accounting support for interconnection services with telecom operators. This includes both regular and ad-hoc analyses across the full financial lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Traffic Data & Invoice Management
Provide traffic data and subject matter expertise to validate and generate invoices, ensuring accuracy and quality in accounting systems.
Outgoing Payments
Validate payment proposals, prepare payable netting proposals, and manage payment requests to ensure timely and accurate disbursements.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management
Handle complex AR invoices by processing billing data, issuing outgoing invoices, and resolving invoice-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
Incoming Payments & Financial Clearing
Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts, perform complex financial clearing, prepare receivable netting proposals, and resolve third-party payment issues.
Receivables Monitoring & Collections
Actively monitor outstanding balances and execute collection activities for aged receivables.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, support SOX control activities, and collaborate with independent auditors.
Month-End Close Activities
Execute accrual postings for receivables and payables, reclassify costs and receivables in the P&L, classify and store data in the BSR system, and participate in balance sheet and P&L review meetings.
Bad Debt Analysis
Prepare, analyze, and present bad debt reports for netted interconnection balances.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Cooperate with stakeholders to resolve disputes and provide insights on balance movements, judgmental decisions, and GL position assessments.
Master Data & Contract Accounting
Perform master data management and contract accounting for real estate leases.
Process Improvement
Continuously improve processes in response to system, regulatory, and local market changes and requests.
• Collaborate with broadband suppliers, local markets, and vendors to maintain support and engagement.
• Execute month-end close activities, including accruals, reclassifications, bad debt calculations, and BSR-s for Interconnection and Real Estate.
• Provide consultancy to business partners by presenting BSR reports with financial impact and assessing the feasibility of proposed modifications.
• Manage real estate contract leases through activities such as creation, updating, booking, monitoring, and termination or renewal.
• Conduct controls for Interconnection and roaming traffic data, resolving disputes with vendors.
• Work with teams in Budapest and Düsseldorf to address queries and issues related to Interconnection and Roaming.
• Perform complex finance and accounting activities in AR/AP/GL, financial clearing and in-outgoing payment related activities
• Participate in SAP EVO/ Other system migration testing and changes, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and improve productivity.
• Identifie and engage in projects to enhance data quality and processes, offering guidance to team members for implementation.
