Technology Support II - Linux/Oracle

As a Technology Support II team member in the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will be responsible for supporting critical payments applications that are essential to our global banking operations. Propel operational success with your expertise in technology support and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows, supporting several critical payments applications. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.

 

Job responsibilities

Analyze and troubleshoot production application flows to ensure end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery supporting the business operations of the firmImprove operational stability and availability through participation in problem managementMonitor production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability toolsAssist in the escalation and communication of issues and solutions to the business and technology stakeholdersIdentify trends and assist in the management of incidents, problems, and changes in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology servicesStrong knowledge of Linux operating systems and Oracle databasesExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressureStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with DevOps practices and tools

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience with cloud technologies, Kubernetes, NoSQL database.Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation purposes.Experience with Monitoring Tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Geneos, Cloud watch, OpenSearch Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices
