Job summary

As a Technology Support II at JP Morgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you play a vital role in maintaining the stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. You help ensure seamless user experiences and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within our team.

Job responsibilities

Analyze and troubleshoot production application flows to support business operationsImprove operational stability and availability through active problem managementMonitor production environments and address issues using standard observability toolsCommunicate and escalate issues and solutions to business and technology stakeholdersIdentify trends and assist in managing incidents, problems, and changes across technology systemsSupport automation of routine tasks and develop telemetry to enhance critical business flows

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experienceKnowledge of applications or infrastructure in large-scale technology environments, on premises or public cloudExperience with observability and monitoring tools and techniques such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or GrafanaFamiliarity with processes within the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworkHands-on experience with AWS or other cloud technologiesKnowledge of batch applications, Control-M scheduler, or large-scale data processingUnderstanding of credit risk concepts

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages or automation scriptingExperience with TerraformExposure to DatabricksFamiliarity with automation in technology operations
