The AI Assistants SME owns the budget for the market and is expected to have a business plan and the operational rigor to deliver the budget objectives. Responsibilities include deal ownership for 1-2 strategic transactions per quarter, assistance with 10+ transactions per quarter, deep eminence on Americas sales plays to generate new pipeline, client activation, deep conversational capabilities across product differentiators and representing the IBM Data Platform across executive briefings, round tables, user groups, and online digital communities. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Deep Proficiency in Technology Sales: Demonstrable, extensive expertise in technology sales. Level 3 minimum product expertise across AI Assistants offerings. * Proven Technical Prowess: Evident technical acumen, with the ability to align clients' business needs with technology solutions and articulate the value proposition in a compelling and easily comprehensible manner. * Consistent Exceeding of Sales Quotas: A track record of consistently surpassing sales quotas in complex technology sales environments. * Effective Interpersonal Skills and Collaboration: Tangible skills in people, communication, and collaboration, with a verified history of networking with the c-suite, co-creating solutions, and influencing stakeholders during successful technology sales cycles. * Utilization of Agile Practices and Modern Sales Approaches: Experience in applying agile techniques in conjunction with contemporary technology sales methodologies (e.g., consultative or Challenger selling). * Strong conversational capability to describe IBM offerings in the context of value it creates for an enterprise and specific person. * Operational rigor to ensure a value assessment is part of all pilots and hands-on technology engagement with client executive sponsorship to progress to closure **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Familiarity with IBM's Product Portfolio: Prior experience working with any of IBM's products and services (comprehensive training covering IBM's product suite will be available). * Comprehension of IBM's Competitive Advantages: Understanding IBM's competitive distinctions, as well as the positioning of competitors within the market (thorough training on IBM's technologies will be provided).
