Technology Platform Product Owner

Summary
We are seeking an **Agile Product Owner** with experience in developing industrial products to lead the development of our technology platform. This key role will involve close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across organizational boundaries between architects, product technology platform, product development, market needs, and customer use cases.
The Agile Product Owner will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining the technology platform backlog, making critical prioritization decisions for both the squads and the business. Additionally, they will play a central role in developing use cases and multi-generational product roadmaps that address end-user pain points.
Key Responsibilities
**End-User Problem Definition:** Identify and articulate platform opportunities that address pain points in product development and improve the end-user experience.
**User Personas:** Gain a deep understanding of user personas, their business workflows, and pain points across a broad range of products within the organization.
**Requirement Gathering:** Define and document technology platform requirements and user stories to ensure seamless communication and handoff to product teams.
**Backlog Management:** Own the technology platform backlog, prioritizing features and enhancements for development squads.
**Stakeholder Engagement:** Collaborate with Value Stream Leaders and Product Marketing teams to set strategic priorities and successfully launch technology platforms across a diverse range of products.
**Customer Advisory Councils:** Support engagement with customer advisory councils, in partnership with Value Stream Product Owners, Value Stream Leaders, and Product Marketing teams, to gather feedback and insights.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering-related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience defining user personas, developing product roadmaps, and managing product backlogs.
Strong ability to analyze market trends, customer feedback, and voice of the customer data.
Track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and other leaders to deliver impactful results.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
Experience in customer engagement, including going to Gemba, mapping customer workflows, and identifying use cases to enhance customer experience.
Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks; certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner), or willingness to undergo training for certification if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience as an Agile Product Owner or in a similar product management role.
Hands-on experience in managing backlogs throughout the full product lifecycle.
Familiarity with the power utility industry and its various monitoring systems.
Experience with industrial IoT solutions.
Experience establishing customer panels and driving user-driven product enhancements.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira).
