Technology Internship opportunities vary each year and may include the following job functions:

Key Responsibilities

As a Technology intern, you will gain exposure to Ameriprise tools, applications, and software, contribute to team goals, and deliver projects and technology solutions – all while gaining a broad understanding of the Ameriprise Technology organization. At the end of your internship, you will present your work and reflect on your experience to our Technology leadership team.

Responsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s) and may include:

Define business requirementsDevelop, document, test, and modify new or existing codeDevelop working knowledge of Ameriprise systems, processes, data, and vendor toolsLearn and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the development life cycleLearn new programming languagesIdentify opportunities for process improvement/automationParticipate in Agile team ceremonies

Required Qualifications

Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology Infrastructure, or related fieldGraduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027Interested in gaining broad experience in Technology

Preferred Qualifications

High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethicsProven organization skills and ability to manage time effectivelyExcellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsAbility to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with othersProficient with Microsoft Office SuitePrior classroom or project experience with software development/programming/coding

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary range for this role is $35/hr. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
