Technology Data Project Manager - Capital market / Investment Banking
The Technology Data Project Manager is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise covering work force strategy and financial reviews to aid senior managers within the technology group. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning. Responsibilities: Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals. Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations. Directly impacts the IT project leadership area through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management; accountable for resource planning. Standardize and rationalize the headcount reporting processes across the team Provide analytical analysis of headcount reporting, combined with the ability to communicate to senior stakeholders in plain language. Provide administrative support as needed to ensure smooth team operations. Manage and deliver key administrative and PMO processes, demonstrating a strong track record in similar roles. Create compelling and professional PowerPoint presentations for various audiences, including senior leadership. Oversee and manage relationships with external vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Build a consolidated workforce strategy, changing the make-up of the staff from mainly temporary to permanent staff, while building a skills-based technology team. Qualifications: 10+ years’ experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication Experience: Strategic planning, change management, programme management,vendor management, business process definition and re-engineering Prior experience of working in a PMO or Business Management function for a large business or business unit Production of MIS reporting Demonstrable track record and experience in the management and delivery of similar processes in past roles Strong consulting and facilitation skills Well-organized and proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving. Proficient with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence. Competencies: Ability to solve complex problems that cross organizational boundaries Ability to plan “the big picture” providing stakeholders with forward vision as well as past performance Provision of well-articulated staffing plans for implementation with 6-24 month horizon Provision of good analytical skills, enabling quick and informed decision making Ability to make well reasoned decisions, given limited data Education: Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
