In this role, you will play a pivotal part in collaborating with technology teams and senior business stakeholders to effectively manage Technology Risk, particularly within the fast-paced environments of our market-facing businesses. Your work will focus on addressing risks tied to trading platforms, market data systems, and other specialised technologies critical to our business operations. As a key member of the team, you’ll take ownership of assurance and control testing activities, including conducting walkthroughs, preparing insightful reports, and engaging with senior stakeholders. Beyond testing, you’ll proactively identify operational issues and control breakdowns, offering strategic advice to address challenges and prevent future occurrences. By leading risk incident investigations, you’ll uncover root causes and deliver robust solutions, all while embedding a proactive risk culture.
Harnessing advanced data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL, you will drive innovation by automating control testing processes and delivering actionable insights to strengthen risk oversight. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support strategic projects that address evolving business needs. You’ll be part of a growing global team, with the flexibility to engage in risk advisory functions when assurance demand is low.  What you offer

Strong expertise in technology risk or cyber risk management, assurance, or audit, ideally within financial services or professional servicesSpecialised knowledge in managing risks related to trading platforms, market data systems, and other specialised technologies is valuableProficiency in process automation, coding, and data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL, enabling the delivery of innovative solutions and actionable insightsExceptional problem-solving skills as a lateral thinker, with the ability to navigate complex situations and grasp abstract concepts effectivelyExcellent communication skills, with the confidence to lead discussions with business leaders and risk management colleagues on emerging issuesHighly motivated and adaptable, thriving in dynamic, fast-paced, and enterprise agile environments, with prior experience in equities or financial markets is highly regarded.
