Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automation Product Technology Consultant to join our dynamic team at Rockwell Automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in automation technologies, specifically expertise with Rockwell Automation's products such as PowerFlex series drives, MCC (Motor Control Center). This role involves To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of complicated large scale projects and ensure all the assigned projects are delivered on scope, on time and aligned with company policy and process, with high levels of customer satisfaction. Especially to manage critical account based multiple projects portfolio, satisfy customer and support sales to grow up more business from installed base.
Essential Functions:
Support direct and indirect sales efforts globally through onsite customer visits to develop solution value estimates and differentiate advanced analytics solutions over competitive offerings. This may include technical presentations, review of customer processes/historical data and development of benefit assessments.Define the scope and bill of materials for the standard industry solutions marketed by sales and deployed by servicesWork with Sales Management, Commercial Marketing, & Delivery Managemnt to develop go to market strategy and required supporting materials to ensure solutions are effectively positioned and meet current and evolving industry drivers.Develop training & sales support materials (in collaboration with commercial Marketing) for effective marketing of the solution including, but not limited to, the following elements: Presentations. Application data sheets, ROI calculators, Customer case studies and papers, Proposal language.Work with Sales Management to prioritize strategic customer pursuits and collaborate to execute sales order planFacilitate transfer of industry and application knowledge to sales, services and marketing personnelKeep abreast of current and evolving industry & customer requirements in designated countries and regions to ensure solutions are being developed in accordance with changing requirements.Research and provide the necessary product/solution requirements to develop new applications to capitalize on new market opportunities.Provide input to product management concerning product features necessary to facilitate deployment of industry-specific applications.Motivate cross-functional resources to ensure customer satisfaction with solutions.Collaborate with delivery services to ensure proper functional design, implementation and standards for industry-specific applications toward identifying the ‘right’ scope of industry standard solutions as presented by sales and delivered by engineering (managing the overall trade-off between costs, customer expectations and acceptable margins). Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.5 or more years’ experience (operational or vendor) in manufacturing industriesProven understanding of the business drivers, and manufacturing processes and industry best practices across various industries.Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to customers and internal teams.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across functions.Proven track record in dealing with complex global organizations.Excellent inter-departmental communication skills both verbal and written.The ability to manage complex, multi-month projects and personnel. Proven track record in developing required training and presentation material content.Qualifications Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing or industrial automation environmentsKnowledge of industrial standard ( UL 508, IEC 61439)Familiarity with industrial software applications and data analysis toolsAbility to break down a production process and review data from the process and Quality data to evaluate and determine value areas in the process.Experience with building business cases for value areas in manufacturing.Experience in project management, particularly in managing customer-facing technical projects.Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
