Job Title: Technologist Trainee (Micro)

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Technologist Trainee (Micro), where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory processes. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining high-tech instruments, processing a large volume of specimens, and releasing results to our system. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and grow into other departments within the organization.

ResponsibilitiesCalibrate and clean pipettes and instrumentation; troubleshoot as needed.Follow quality control rules and monitor controls for error detection; take corrective action when necessary.Maintain laboratory records, maintenance logs, quality control charts, reagent, and standard logs.Manage instrument-heavy tasks, including getting samples off the propel instrument and loading them onto the chem line.Ensure high volume testing is conducted efficiently, with each tech responsible for 2 instrument lines.Review results and maintain the instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree (BS preferred, BA accepted) in life science - chemistry or biology.Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Excellent research and problem resolution skills.Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsWet Chemistry experience preferred.Academic lab experience accepted.Experience in forensic toxicology and chemistry processing.Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced production environment that requires meeting established turnaround times. The position has multiple openings with multiple different shifts! Employees enjoy access to a coffee bar for night shift workers and a 24-hour quick check near the lab for breaks. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
