Job Description
Join a dynamic laboratory team as a Technologist Trainee, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of high-volume specimen testing. ResponsibilitiesCalibrate and clean pipettes and instrumentation as necessary.Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform necessary maintenance.Follow quality control procedures and monitor controls for error detection.Take corrective action when necessary and maintain laboratory records.Handle instrument-heavy tasks, including managing samples off the propel instrument and loading them onto the chem line.Process specimens and release results into the system.Review results and ensure maintenance of the instruments.Handle a very high volume of testing, responsible for 2 instrument lines.Load lines and ensure results are processed accurately.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree (BS preferred, BA accepted) in life science - chemistry or biology.Wet Chemistry experience preferred.Academic lab experience accepted.Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time.Excellent research and problem resolution skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsForensic toxicology experience.Experience in chemistry or biology processing.Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment.Work Environment
The role operates from Wednesday to Sunday, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Employees enjoy a coffee bar accessible for night shift workers and a 24-hour quick check near the lab for breaks. The work environment is fast-paced, high-volume, and offers a supportive atmosphere with room to grow into other departments. Great entry-level training is provided for laboratory techs in a leading diagnostic laboratory.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
