Job Requisition: REQ3452 Employment type: Per Diem Shift: Days Hours per week: As scheduled Hiring Range : $35.25- $47.18 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Responsibilities: • Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body. • Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination. • Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor. • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). • Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. • Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Education: • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Required Credential(s): • BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the New York Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
