**Job Description**
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
**What You ll Do:**
+ Oversee the fabrication of high reliability aerospace harnesses for both Flight and non-Flight applications.
+ Apply established standards, practices, and procedures to ensure all products meet programming and quality requirements.
+ Provide hands on coaching to technicians in fabrication techniques, processes, and procedures for Flight and non-Flight harnesses.
+ Identify individual and group training needs related to new and existing fabrication methods.
+ Develop training materials, reference guides, and documentation to support technician proficiency.
+ Deliver structured training courses for both new hires and experienced technicians.
+ Mentor technicians on the manufacturing floor to reinforce best practices and promote continuous improvement.
+ Design, upgrade, and modify tooling to enhance product quality and reduce opportunities for error.
+ Evaluate, recommend, and implement new tools and equipment to improve operational efficiency.
+ Collaborate with Quality Assurance and inspection personnel to support error analysis and resolution.
+ Develop and maintain an effective onboarding process for new technicians.
+ Analyze hardware anomaly data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and targeted training needs.
+ Provide program support for custom harness fabrication and related technical requirements.
+ Perform operations including soldering, crimping, shield terminations, encapsulation, wrapping, and complex harness repairs as required.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
+ Fabricate, install and rework flight harnesses, sensors, prewired assemblies in either production or cleanroom settings using build documents and assembly drawings (e.g. cable, propulsion, bus, payload, etc.) meeting IPC/WHMA-A-620 Space Addendum or like standards.
+ Possess skills for assembling cabling - such as wire stripping, crimping, installing connectors, soldering, installing sleeving, wrapping, encapsulation, staking, potting, bonding and grounding schemes.
+ Interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings and wire lists accurately.
+ Identify and troubleshoot hardware problems associated with product design or workmanship issues.
+ Perform continuity and certification tests on a variety of products and hardware.
+ Conduct assignments and produce desired results in an efficient and effective manner, paying close attention to cost, schedule and consideration for the manufacturability and reuse of hardware.
+ Measure/record test data and recognize/report out of tolerance conditions.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years or more related experience.
+ Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor s or Master s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ Must know how to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and complex assembly instructions to fabricate harnesses.
+ Competencies in soldering, crimping, shield termination as well as complex cable rework / repair operations.
+ Ability to perform operations on very small wire gauges under a microscope.
+ Ability to use handheld testing equipment (ex. DMM) to verify harness construction.
+ Know connector care, mating, de-mating, cleaning, identification, and inspection.
+ Must be able to obtain or be currently certified to: Workmanship Requirements for Electronics and Cable Assemblies in accordance with IPC J-STD-001, IPC J-STD-001 Space Addendum, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and NASA-STD-8739.4; Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) in accordance with ANSI S20.20; and Polymerics use and application.
+ Aerospace, clean room and flow bench and experience working with critical Flight hardware is required, applicant selected will be required to cross-train with other tasks across the organization.
+ Ability to work complex processes efficiently with little supervision. Able to work in a lab/production environment majority of the time.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of program personnel and management.
+ Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (including Excel, Outlook, and Word).
+ Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to exercise that skill effectively in a technical environment.
+ Good mechanical aptitude.
+ Must be comfortable to work effectively with a variety of hand tools and multimeter.
+ Must be a motivated and ambitious self-starting individual with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Demonstrated working relationship with other disciplines. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of program personnel and management is required.
+ Willingness to learn company process software tools ex: Agile and Velocity.
+ Ability to effectively work independently or in a team environment.
+ Availability and willingness to provide expeditious technical support and work overtime as required.

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $75998 - $121597
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
