The Opportunity 

We have an opportunity for the role of Technician Production within our Toxicology Warehouse location in Portsmouth, VA.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient packaging operation according to Abbott Toxicology PRT warehouse standards and inventory procedures. Your main objective will be to lower operating costs by effectively utilizing Scan Force RF technology during the item-picking process. By following work instructions and achieving zero picking errors, you will help increase productivity. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating products that are out of stock, accurately picking items by Lot #, and selecting expiration dates before the verification process.

Shift:

Monday to Friday

10:00 AM - 4:30 PM

WHAT YOU DO

Print orders using computers and printers.Read the picking sheets thoroughly before handling/picking items.Ensure all notes on the picking sheet are read and understood.Pick the proper lot # and expiration date as directed by the picking sheet.Utilize a company-issued stamp after the picking process.Ensure proper handling of all picking sheets and place them on the correct carton(s).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

Basic math skills to count products.Ability to read product labels and pick sheets.Ability to follow work instructions.Forklift certification, or the ability to become certified (company-provided).Must be able to operate a rolling pushcart, electric forklift, and manual pallet jack.

The base pay for this position is $15.45 – $30.85 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
