Description
Lee County is looking for detail-oriented and creative team members to help design and support construction projects that shape our community.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in creating accurate plans and models that keep projects moving and ensure County facilities meet the needs of residents and employees.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys design work, takes pride in precision, and wants a stable career in public service that makes a real difference every day.
Duties and Responsibilities
What You Will Do
+ Create and update digital plans and prototypes using AutoCAD and Revit.
+ Work with engineers, architects, and designers to produce clear and accurate 2D drawings and 3D models.
+ Draft and revise general plan drawings and complete standard calculations.
+ Conduct field visits to collect data and verify grading markers.
+ Attend team meetings to review design requirements.
+ Assist with project management tasks and other construction-related activities.
+ Support interior design projects, including cubicle layouts and office remodels.
+ Help prepare presentation exhibits using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Organize and manage CAD files to keep projects on track.
+ Maintain County artwork and related systems, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

What We’re Looking For
Minimum Requirements
+ High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Two (2) years of experience required in drafting, design, or related work, such as:
+ CAD design or drafting
+ Construction or architectural support
+ Interior space planning
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
+ Responsibility for maintaining County artwork and related systems.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Four (4) years of professional drafting or design experience.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
Supplemental Information
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with availability after hours, on weekends, or on holidays as needed.
