Technician IITransdev in Paramount. CA is seeking an experienced Technician II to bolster our team. This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair commercial vehicles and equipment. This individual must have the ability to effectively work and communicate with employees and customers. Requirements include daily safety inspections, minimal reworks, and maintaining production standards. Particular attention will be on timeliness and quality of repairs. As a Technician II, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.
 Transdev is proud to offer: Competitive compensation package of minimum $27.50 – Maximum $34.25/ hour Benefits include: Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 5 days Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Company paid ASE testing and training materials.Major Responsibilities:Diagnose and accurately perform all phases of vehicle repairs.  Remove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components. Engine repair and diagnosis  Driveline components Electrical/ electronic components  Brakes/ suspension/ steering/ exhaust  Cab/ chassis Hydraulics Various Scan tool proficient Ensure work orders are properly completed. Select appropriate course of action for repairs. Evaluate completed work prior to release. Ensure safe use of power and hand-held tools. Perform road calls and emergency services, as necessary. Move vehicles safely between job and work area. Communicate professionally with customers, team members and supervisors. Actively participate in safety or educational training as required. Continuous ASE/ EVT re-certification is required to remain in job classification. Other responsibility as requested or requiredQualifications:Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent. Must have a valid driver’s license. Minimum of three (3) years direct automotive repair experience Must have demonstrated experience monitoring and meeting PM schedules and operating automotive repair shop equipment. Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set. Must have excellent communication skills, bringing demonstrated abilities of building solid relationships with superiors, peers, and subordinates.Subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing.
