About this RoleThe Commissioning Technician I works closely with the Service Manager and field technicians to support the successful commissioning of utility-scale solar projects. This is an entry-level field role designed to build a strong technical foundation — you will learn Ampacity's installation standards, quality processes, and documentation practices while contributing meaningful work on real projects from day one.
Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00
Typical Work Environment
Active solar construction sites with heavy machinery, power tools, and construction equipment in operation.100% outdoor work environment subject to extreme weather conditions including snow and high heat, with exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and uneven terrain.Work at various heights requiring fall protection equipment.Position may require unexpected travel and relocation to project sites with short notice.Physical Expectations
This work is physically demanding in nature and requires constant lifting of 30 – 50 pounds, unassisted, with lifts of 50+ pounds requiring assistance.Working schedule will be 8 – 10 hours a day and 5 – 6 days a week (weather permitting).Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods while operating tools and equipment safely.Must be able to participate in required training hours as assigned.
