Job DescriptionRole Overview
We are seeking a BIM Technician – Infrastructure (Wet & Dry Utilities) to support BIM and CAD deliverables for infrastructure projects across the GCC. The role focuses on producing accurate models and drawings using Civil 3D, while ensuring compliance with authority standards, LOD requirements, and QA/QC procedures, under the guidance of Senior BIM team members.
Key Responsibilities
Produce 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for wet and dry utility networks as per project requirements.
Prepare plans, profiles, cross-sections, layouts, and construction-ready drawings.
Follow Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and GCC authority standards (TAQA, TPD, DMT, and similar entities).
Work in accordance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project BIM standards.
Apply assigned LOD requirements at different project stages.
Perform self-checks and support QA/QC processes prior to internal and authority submissions.
Coordinate with engineers and BIM leads to resolve drafting and modeling issues.
Assist with clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or similar tools.
Update models and drawings based on design revisions and authority comments.
Support quantity take-offs and schedule extraction from BIM models.
Maintain drawing registers, file structures, and version control within the CDE.
Mandatory Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
5–10 years of GCC experience in infrastructure projects involving wet and dry utilities.
Hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D (mandatory).
Experience in:
Wet Utilities: drainage, stormwater, sewerage, irrigation, water networks
Dry Utilities: electrical, telecom, ICT, street lighting
Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Exposure to Abu Dhabi authorities such as TAQA, TPD, DMT, and other GCC entities.
Understanding of BIM processes, LOD requirements, and model-based delivery.
Familiarity with QA/QC procedures for BIM and CAD deliverables.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred / Added Value Skills
Experience with Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as ACC, ProjectWise, or similar platforms.
Experience in utility modeling across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
Understanding of digital delivery and ISO-based workflows.
