**Test Technician – Propulsion Systems**
**Overview**
We’re looking for a hands‑on Test Technician to support the build and validation of propulsion systems and their related sub‑assemblies in a production setting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workflow efficiency, meeting production targets, and ensuring every component meets strict quality, safety, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and responding effectively to urgent situations.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Monitor and maintain turnaround expectations at each assigned workstation.
+ Follow all laboratory and production quality requirements, including documenting QC activities, performing routine instrument calibrations, and completing scheduled maintenance tasks.
+ Troubleshoot issues that may impact test accuracy or results; resolve concerns directly or escalate to a Lead or Supervisor as needed.
+ Adjust quickly to changes in scheduling, workload, or emergency requests.
+ Perform process‑related work and verify outputs for compliance with established procedures and standards.
+ Contribute to daily team syncs, end‑of‑shift updates, and collaborate to prevent workflow disruptions.
+ Promote and uphold safety protocols across all operations and influence team adherence.
+ Assemble and test propulsion sub‑systems using engineering drawings, work instructions, and daily build/test targets.
**Required Skills & Competencies**
+ Certification in aircraft powerplant, automotive technology, or a comparable technical field (or an AA degree).
+ Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
+ Experience working with FOD/ESD‑sensitive equipment and clean‑room‑style environments.
+ Familiarity with MES systems used in manufacturing.
+ Comfort switching tasks or priorities quickly within a high‑demand environment.
+ Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs safely.
+ Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑driven with minimal supervision.
**Preferred** **Background**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ At least 2 years of experience in aerospace or automotive production environments.
+ 2+ years performing hardware testing work.
+ Hands‑on experience operating test instruments—oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, data acquisition systems, etc.
+ Experience with flight‑hardware production in a rapid‑paced setting.
+ Skilled in using torque tools and precision measurement equipment.
+ Experience building or configuring testing racks and related hardware.
+ Exposure to test automation or execution software such as LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python.
+ Familiarity with vacuum systems and pressurized gas handling.

**Work Environment & Schedule**
Shifts may include schedules such as **6:30 AM–5:00 PM** (Manufacturing + Test) and **4:30 PM–3:00 AM** (Test), depending on production demands.
The workspace includes bench‑top stations and requires constant monitoring of temperature, pressure, and system performance. Work involves exposure to high‑pressure setups, vacuum automation systems, and frequent use of torque tools, test equipment, and engineering work instructions.

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $42.13 - $42.13/hr.
