The Thermal Department in York, PA is the leading service provider for all third party fenestration testing needs. Thermal Technician will perform physical thermal testing a variety of fenestration (windows and doors) products. This is an entry level, hands-on position in a team environment. On-the-job training provided and excellent opportunities for growth offered. We’re looking for an individual who can perform tasks with limited supervision while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity all with a keen eye and attention to detail.

What you will do:

Assist current staff with test sample setup, breakdown, and disposal following all associated standards and methodsSelf-manage all assigned jobs through internal job network (test dates, invoicing, etc.)Analyze test results and write accurate and concise test reports that summarize the test procedures and resultsCommunicate with clients regarding scheduling, procedures, and results

What it takes to be successful in this role:

High School Diploma or GEDExperience using hand tools - preferredTechnical and mechanical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and resultsAbility to read and comprehend client provided drawings, specifications and detailsPrevious forklift training/certification - preferredBasic Microsoft Office knowledge and functionalityPhysical ability to stand for an extended period of time, climb stairs/ladders (bend, lift, crawl, stoop, reach overhead or behind you)Understanding of how to read and use a tape measure accuratelyAbility to lift  50 poundsValid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
