**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technician V to join our team responsible for the development, production, and integration of products for weapon systems. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical, electromechanical, fabrication and/or machining/manufacturing, with expertise in constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining equipment, components, devices, or systems. This role is critical to our mission, and the ideal candidate will be able to work independently, think critically, and contribute to our team's success.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Mechanical Assembly and Fabrication: Fabricate and assemble mechanical and electrical components ensuring precise tolerances and specifications.
2. Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment, components, devices, or systems, and perform repairs, calibrations, and adjustments as needed.
3. Testing and Validation: Develop and implement test procedures to validate the performance of equipment, components, devices, or systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
4. Machining and Fabrication: Utilize machining capabilities, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, welders, shear, press brake, etc. to fabricate parts and components.
5. Overhead Crane and Material Handling: Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move and position heavy components, devices, or systems.
6. Quality Control: Inspect and test equipment, components, devices, or systems to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed, test results, and maintenance activities.
8. CAD/CAM Skills: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to manufacture parts and components.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent required;
+ Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role, with a focus on mechanical, manufacturing, test, or electrical areas.
+ Mechanical Assembly: Proven experience with mechanical assembly, including welding/sheet metal fabrication, machining, and testing.
+ Technical Skills: Proficient in using various tools and equipment, such as machining tools, CNC equipment, test equipment, and measurement instruments
+ Engineering Drawings: Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings to create part or construct assemblies.
+ Self-Starter: Ability to work effectively independently seeking new opportunities to assist other individuals and programs.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Associate or bachelor s degree in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, machining) preferred.
+ Experience with weapon systems: Familiarity with weapon systems, including design, development, and testing.
+ Programming skills: Knowledge of programming languages, G and M Codes, CAM Software.
+ AWS welding certification or similar welding experience.
+ Forklift Experience: Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
+ Overhead Crane Operation: Valid overhead crane operator certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. Lifting and rigging up to 30 tons.
+ Familiarity with relevant certifications, such as AS9100 or ISO 9001, are desirable.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and general comfortability with computers and other technology.
+ Collaboration and teamwork: Experience working in a team environment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ CAD/CAM Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, such as:
+ SolidWorks
+ Autodesk Inventor
+ Mastercam
+ GibbsCAM
+ *NX Siemens
+ or similar software
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $74508 - $119213
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
