Research and gather information on their subjectsStudy drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samplesWriting and editing the customer documentation for METTLER TOLEDO software products in EnglishFacilitates language translations by working with approved vendorsWorking with a Content Management System (CMS) and publishing softwareWork with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirementsAnalyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse, and single-sourcing opportunitiesCreate user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manualsWrite easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, tutorials, and developer guidesProduce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audienceEnsure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the end userDevelop/modify technical documentation with guidance from Technical Writer Senior or above





What You Need to SucceedMinimum 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Writer Experience with Content Management System (CMS) software (ideally SCHEMA ST4)XMetal - Used for authoring contents of ST4Skills in creating technical illustrations (IsoDraw, Adobe CC)SDL Passolo, WebLate -  for user interface language translations knowledge would be additional advantagePhotoshop or Affinity Photo for editing/manipulating photos and screenshotsIllustrator to work on vector graphics illustrations like exploded view of instrumentsAbility to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and picturesStrong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeBasic familiarity with the SDLC, Agile (SCRUM), and software developmentPossess analytical and problem-solving skills; have good concentrationExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skillsExcellent written skills in EnglishAbility to express ideas in clear and concise mannerAbility to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
