**Job Summary:**
If you are a professional looking for an opportunity to work with the global Emerson Systems and Software organization, this is a stimulating opportunity for you! As a Technical Writer, you will develop and maintain detailed documentation for a diverse set of software products and work with various teams to develop content that will enable customers to successfully install, set up, and use the products.
**In this role, your responsibilities will be:**
+ Developing and writing clear, concise, user‑friendly documentation including high‑level technical content, reference material, and detailed task‑specific work instructions. Includes preparing technical illustrations and graphics for manuals and online help.
+ Reviewing and editing documentation and online help for clarity, accuracy, organization, and alignment with style guides and standards.
+ Working with product developers, subject matter experts, product marketing managers, and technical documentation team members to obtain technical information and develop content.
+ Reviewing technical requirements and design specifications to understand product functionality.
+ Exploring complex technical products hands‑on and create technically accurate, audience‑focused documentation for new and existing features across software and hardware.
+ Collaborating with the team to update standards and guidelines to improve documentation usability.
+ Providing estimates for project work, schedules, and documentation plans by establishing milestones and deadlines.
+ Tracking project time and provide updates on project status, issues, and potential delays.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or any related field.
+ Minimum of 2–3 years of technical writing or documentation experience.
+ Strong proficiency in writing technical documentation.
+ Experience with modular documentation (DITA XML) and component content management systems.
+ Interest in hands‑on installation, configuration, and use of software to build product understanding.
+ Experience and knowledge in Gen AI or any AI tool.
+ Experience in process control, instrumentation and/or automation industry
