Job Description
Our entertainment client is seeking a Technical Writer to join the Product & Operations org, who is detail-oriented and proactive to drive improvements across internal business support tools and processes. This role will balance day-to-day operational execution with a strategic eye for streamlining workflows, reducing organizational burden, and identifying opportunities for enhancements and small-scale solutions. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable documenting technical standards, shaping process improvements, and delivering clear, compelling presentations tailored for both executive and technical stakeholders. By combining strong execution, problem-solving, and communication skills, this hire will play a key role in strengthening the efficiency, reliability, and clarity of our internal operations. Work is subject to supervisory oversight at frequent intervals and review by senior members of the staff or peers.
Responsibilities include:
Documentation & Communication
• Adapt writing style and tone for diverse audiences, from technical experts to non-specialists.
• Translate complex technical concepts, systems, and processes into clear, accurate documentation and presentations.
• Organize and structure information logically, applying effective information design principles (headings, visuals, formatting, media) in line with company standards.
• Review and edit documents for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Demonstrate strong listening skills and the ability to ask targeted questions to uncover nuances in tooling and processes.
Collaboration & Engagement
• Actively collaborate with engineers, developers, subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather accurate information and validate use cases.
• Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders across locations, business areas, and teams.
• Engage with customers to understand challenges and requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
• Communicate progress, updates, and solutions effectively back to stakeholders.
Problem-Solving & Operations
• Gather requirements and work with engineers and subject matter experts to define enhancements and small-scale solutions.
• Resolve simple to moderately complex customer or product issues independently.
• Provide mentoring and guidance on handling more complex issues within area of knowledge.
• Contribute to operational efficiency by supporting the creation of simple tools, processes, and support documentation.

Skills and Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in business operations role supporting development and product teams in a mid-size - enterprise environment
• Strong experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) for documentation, project management, cross-functional communications
• Ability to bridge the gap between lines-of-business; generating communications on updates/changes that will impact the business
• Familiarity with Data Visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.
• Basic knowledge of and skills in Project Management, Agile/Scrum/Kanban Methodology; ability to maintain style guides and documentation
• Strong critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Product management or Business Analyst experience
• Experience with Airtable
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training or work experience
