Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. LCE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our LCE disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability, System Safety, and Supportability.
This job will fall under the Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Specialty Engineering (SPE) 032 LCE Effectors, Naval Power (NP) department.Our Integrated Product Support (IPS) team supports the logistics database, training, and Technical Manual (TM) publications of the Land-based Phalanx Weapon System (LPWS) variant of the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) for the US Army. This specific role is working with the TM team.Our team works within a culture of mutual respect, trust, and collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Our specific mission within that is to provide complete and accurate TMs that our soldiers currently use forward deployed.What You Will Do:
Utilize Extensible Markup Language (XML) tags in PTC Arbortext to structure each work package for inclusion in the Technical Manual (TM).Perform editorial reviews of procedural and other technical manual work package redlines, as well as new work packages.Perform standard conversion of existing TMs from MIL-STD-40051-C to MIL-STD-40051-D, and support development of future material using MIL-STD-40051-D.Perform Quality Check (QC) reviews of materials tagged by other team members, both editorially and for XML completeness.Maintain detailed tracking of material status and communicate with team.Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related fieldExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, XML, and/or PTC Arbortext.Experience with technical manuals.Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:
Ability to work independently and analyze technical documentation.Experience with Army Air and Missile Defense (AMD) programs.Experience publishing paper TMs, to include creating and editing production files.Experience with the Department of the Army (DA) Technical Manual Authentication process, including validation and verification events.Experience with developing executable XML scripts to automate tasks.What We Offer:

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
