Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proficient Technical Writer to create, review, and edit technical documents ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency. The ideal candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and stakeholders to produce high-quality documentation that aligns with organizational standards and supports business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Proofread and edit technical documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and stylistic consistency. Develop clear, concise, and accurate technical content including manuals, reports, guidelines, procedures, and specifications. Verify the accuracy of technical information by cross-referencing source materials, standards, and subject matter experts. Ensure all documents conform to organizational templates, branding, and formatting standards. Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather information and clarify technical concepts. Maintain high-quality standards, ensuring documents are user-friendly and meet target audience needs. Manage document revisions and updates through version control processes. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field; engineering or science background is a plus. Proven experience in technical writing and proofreading within engineering, technology, or manufacturing industries.

Skills and Competencies:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and error detection. Proficiency in technical writing tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, and Microsoft Word. Familiarity with style guides like APA, MLA, or Chicago Manual of Style. Ability to interpret and explain complex technical information. Strong organizational and time management skills for handling multiple projects.

Knowledge:

Basic understanding of technical concepts and industry-specific terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with document management systems. Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements and standards. Certification in technical writing or editing.

Work Environment:
This role offers flexibility for office-based or remote work. Occasional travel may be required for stakeholder meetings or information gathering.
