About Finland
Our Finland locations include Vantaa and Joensuu, employing over 800 professionals in R&D, production, supply chain, quality, marketing, sales, and administrative support. How will you make an impact?
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Technical Support Specialist, where you'll help deliver exceptional technical support solutions for our Indiko Clinical Chemistry analyzer and Gallery industrial analyzer platforms. You'll collaborate with professionals across multiple departments to resolve complex technical issues, improve processes, and ensure customer satisfaction. Working with scientific innovation, you'll provide expert technical assistance through remote and on-site support, while contributing to improvement initiatives that help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
What will you do?
Provide advanced (2nd/3rd level) technical support for clinical chemistry and industrial analyzer platforms—supporting international OEM partners, distributors, and Thermo Fisher channels; manage and coordinate technical complaints; and deliver on-site troubleshooting for global installations when needed.Drive product and service improvement initiatives by contributing to NPI projects, product development, product enhancements, corrective actions, and the CAPA process to ensure high customer satisfaction.Support the development and continuous improvement of technical services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen processes, tools, and service capabilities.How will you get here?
Advanced degree with no prior experience required, or a bachelor’s degree with approximately 2 years of relevant experience in technical support, field service, or manufacturing within the high-tech or medical device industry (or comparable experience in a similar field).Preferred Fields of Study: Electronics, Mechanics, Engineering, Physics, or related technical fieldStrong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting skills; advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); Finnish proficiency is an asset.Proficient with Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools; experience with CRM systems is beneficial.Customer-focused, able to handle complex technical discussions and work both independently and in cross-functional teams.Skilled in creating and maintaining technical documentation and training materials; capable of training and mentoring technical staff.Experienced in root cause analysis, corrective actions, quality management systems, and continuous improvement.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet performance targets.Willingness to travel up to 25% of working timeIn addition to the exciting and versatile job, we offer:
