**Your role and responsibilities**
As an intern, you will learn to provide technical support for IBM Security customers using QRadar, gain exposure to Linux, Windows, and networking troubleshooting in real-world cases, assist in analyzing and resolving customer problems under the guidance of senior engineers, and collaborate with development teams on issues that may require code fixes or product improvements.
You will also contribute to IBM’s knowledge base by documenting solutions and technical notes, while developing the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and simply to different audiences, ranging from Engineers to CISOs
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• Passion for Cybersecurity and Technology.
• Basic knowledge of Linux (Red Hat preferred) and Windows operating systems.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and use of common troubleshooting tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity to learn.
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related technical field.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
• Familiarity with Python scripting.
• Exposure to security tools such as QRadar, Guardium or McAfee.
• Basic knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, or networking best practices.
• Certifications such as Red Hat Administration or OpenShift are a plus.
