5 net new roles broken down in below skill sets/specialties
2 candidates need to be Openshift focused, meaning either Red Hat Openshift or Kubernetes Certified.
2 need to be AAP, Ansible Automation Platform focused. Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation is preferred.
1 we want a true Opensource generalist
ALL of these candidates need to be strong in RHEL with the above 4 candidates focused in a particular platform, Openshift or Automation. This last role we want a true generalist, someone who has experience in Openshift, Ansible, Satellite, RHEL, etc.
Location:
These positions can sit fully remote, priority ill be given to those in Raleigh, NC
Ideally would like at least 1 of these candidates to either sit in Pacific time zone or be willing to work that time zone while sitting in another time zone as they have a small gap in coverage for that time zone.
Employment info:
These will be Contract right to hire roles, end goal is for these folks to convert to FTE between the 12-18 month mark once they have gotten their feet wet and proven their skills.
Environment:
This team is a Technical Support team, they support Red Hat technologies within Government entities, it is a newer team that we are helping build out so it is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of a new team build out for long term growth within the organization as the team grows.
Team:
This team is NOT doing any engineering work as far as building environments, they are a high-level Technical Support team that is the escalation point for customers when they encounter issues in their environment. When the customers engineering team can’t figure an issue out, this is the team they call to get it fixed. Customer interaction and communication is super important, this team will interact with customers by phone, email, and chat to get issues resolved.
Day to day will be both actively working in the que with customers as well as working back log tickets that need to be completed.
Primary Job Responsibilities
● Given the nature of the work we require that the engineer be able to get a clearance and be comfortable being subjected to an extensive background check.
● Act as the direct contact and adviser for customer inquiries about their Managed Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform service through our Customer Portal as well as by phone, using remote access tools and different partner channels.
● Deliver an exceptional customer experience by using professional communication, applying product knowledge and deep troubleshooting to resolve a variety of issues
● Perform technical troubleshooting using tools like curl, strace, wireshark, and kernel crash analysis, to investigate and resolve technical issues with components such as CRI-O, networking, system performance issues, Kubernetes, OpenShift Container Platform, and RESTful API calls.
● Manage incident and issue workloads, to ensure that all customer issues are handled and resolved in a timely manner.
● Strong work ethic, able to work as part of a team and focus on customers and fixing their issues
● Be available to perform weekend shift duties on a rotational schedule
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $59.00 - $59.00/hr.
