Technical Support Engineer

Full Time 42 hours per week (4 days 4 nights shift rotation)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team within the Civil Aerospace division in Derby.

What you will be doing:

As a Technical Support Engineer you will drive the execution of the V&V IT strategy by delivering digital solutions that enhance business performance and meet user needs including: fixing, improving and / or transforming current digital capability in accordance with the V&V IT systems roadmap.

Capture and maintain customer requirements throughout the solution lifecycleDevelop and evaluate system concepts using systems engineering methodsIdentify and mitigate risks through RRMS processesDefine system architecture and solutions aligned with business objectivesLead design reviews with Technical Councils and High-SpotsCreate and manage system verification plansCoordinate system implementation and modifications to meet customer goalsCollaborate with testing teams and engineers to support product validationMonitor system health and schedule maintenance activitiesInvestigate and resolve system issues affecting test operationsTrack system obsolescence and contribute to improvement planning

Degree level in Engineering or equivalentExperience in relevant domain is preferred but not essentialGood communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environmentAn understanding in calibration and metrology to support Rolls Royce in engine testing,
