Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Superintendent to join our client’s team in Southampton. This position offers the chance to play a key role in the technical management and safe operation of a growing fleet of bunkering tankers.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels. Plan, manage, and coordinate vessel maintenance, repairs, and dry dockings. Ensure compliance with IMO, Class, Flag State, and SIRE requirements. Work closely with shipboard crews to promote safety, environmental responsibility, and quality procedures. Provide technical guidance and support to vessel management teams. Manage vessel budgets and control maintenance costs. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimise vessel performance. Conduct inspections and audits, identifying areas for improvement. Candidate Profile Sailed to the rank of Chief Engineer or Second Engineer. Previous shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent preferred; candidates with relevant shipboard engineering experience will also be considered. Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, planned maintenance systems, and maritime regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams. Willingness to travel for vessel visits and inspections. Full driving licence.
