Technical Specialist, Supply Chain Technology Engagement & Development
As a key technical contributor, you will play a vital role in advancing Jabil’s vision to become the preferred partner for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless technical engagement across all Jabil stakeholders.
In this role, you will represent the supply chain organization and take the lead in initiating and executing design engagements with both internal and external design teams. Working in close collaboration with project teams, you will interpret product specifications and identify critical parameters. Leveraging Jabil’s extensive knowledge base in commodity materials, manufacturing technologies, and supplier capabilities, you will drive value creation by delivering optimal solutions that balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.
You will also be responsible for providing exceptional support to internal and external customers throughout the design engagement process.
As an individual contributor, you will work closely with system architects to understand electronic hardware requirements and technical specifications and perform the necessary activities to support successful design engagements.

Technical Engagement
- Internal Stakeholders
Develop deep expertise and act as the subject matter expert for assigned commodities/products.Serve as the bridge between the engineering and supply chain teams, ensuring clear, efficient, and lossless communication.Actively engage with Jabil’s engineering teams and strategic suppliers to define technical requirements.Propose compelling value propositions and develop technical proposals that align with project goals.Organize and conduct engineering workshops, training sessions, and technical seminars to enhance Jabil’s internal capabilities.Participate in key technical discussions and presentations to support project development and decision-making.Collaborate with Global and Division Commodity Management (GCM/DCM) and Strategic Sourcing Managers (SSM) to define and execute strategic plans.- External Stakeholders

Proactively engage with strategic suppliers to identify, define, and pursue early adoption opportunities for emerging technologies and new product offerings.Customers
Promote and advocate for Jabil’s commodity strategies to customers.Support all technical engagements related to commodity discussions.Drive strategic deployment by initiating and leading customer-focused activities.Demonstrate and validate Jabil’s technical competencies to build trust and gain customer buy-in.Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a technical or engineering roleBackground in server computer design, with hands-on experience in design, testing, and simulation toolsProven ability to lead technical engagements and communicate effectively with customersFluency in both English and Chinese is requiredTechnical Specialist
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
Participate in project kick-off meetings to understand internal and external customer product requirements; translate and communicate these requirements to cross-functional internal teams.Attend weekly technical team meetings to monitor progress and ensure excellence in execution.Develop, maintain, and improve documentation processes and methods for design engagement, system design, and requirements definition.Review and ensure that all design engagement activities are carried out in accordance with defined process flows.Perform technical assessments, including schematic reviews of critical components, considering PCB routing and design constraints before proposing solutions to customers.Ensure proposed solutions and sample components meet the technical requirements for initial design prototypes and EVT (Engineering Validation Test) builds.Conduct market research on emerging technologies and evaluate their suitability for consideration by system architects in future platform designs.Stay up to date with industry trends (Intel, AMD, Ampere, Nvidia, OCP, etc.) and regularly share relevant updates with internal teams.Comply with all safety and health regulations associated with the role and as directed by the supervisor.Adhere to company security policies and procedures at all times.REQUIRMENTS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited universityMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical or engineering capacityStrong background in server computer design with experience in design, testing, and simulation toolsProven experience in technical customer engagement and solution proposalFamiliarity with design tools such as Ansys, Cadence, and Windchill is preferredProficiency in SAP and advanced PC skillsHands-on experience in board-level hardware design and system-level integration for computing, server, storage, and networking productsStrong understanding of server and storage chipset applications, including Intel, AMD, Marvell and BroadcomKnowledge of high-speed interfaces including PCIe, CXL, DDR, and CPU FSB signaling, with experience in scope analysisFamiliarity with PCB layout principles, raw material selection, and fabrication processes, including associated limitationsExcellent communication and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email communicationPerson Attributes:
