Technical Specialist, Product Development

We are looking for a Technical Specialist, reporting to the Business Process Manager - Mechatronics, to help us maintain and enhance the design methods for our vehicle electrical wiring. In this role, you will have a significant impact by introducing best design practices to be applied with the use of various software.
 

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:


•    Become the technical reference for wiring design and drawing software for schematics, 3D design, and 2D documentation used by our vehicle engineering teams.
•    Identify and implement possible improvements, such as new techniques and/or tool functions.
•    Organize and maintain the various component libraries of the software.
•    Draft and update procedures and training documents.
•    Maintain adherence to established procedures and train Vehicle Engineering group teams.
•    Support the validation and deployment of new versions or new software used by electrical engineering.
 

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:


•    A university or college degree in electrical engineering, electrotechnics, or a similar field, with 3 years of experience in wiring harness design using Catia EHI-EHA.
•    The ability to adapt to an environment where the solutions are unknown, and where the path forward is not clearly marked.
•    Autonomy, initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and teams composed of multiple people.
•    The ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or in English on a daily basis.
•    Knowledge of Capital Logic and Harness Designer software would be an asset.
