Technical Solution Manager
**Introduction** A Technical Solution Manager (TSM) has a pivotal role who serves as a technical expert and strategic partner, bridging the gap between sales, clients, and internal teams to deliver compelling, cost-effective solutions. **Your role and responsibilities** * Subject Matter Expert (SME): Serving as a technical and architectural focal point for Dell Servers, providing expert guidance to sales and internal teams. * Sales Support: Assisting in client presentation preparation and deliverables, as well as deal registration for Dell equipment. * Environment Analysis: Understanding clients' environments to create Dell Product BOMs and identify technical differences between current and proposed solutions. * Cost Gathering and Validation: Compiling competitive solutions by gathering costs and validating them. * Sales Meeting and Negotiation Support: Participating in sales meetings, negotiations, and closures. * Solution Design Accountability: Being partially accountable for the success of solution design engagements, time-to-market, and client satisfaction, depending on the complexity of the bid. * RFP/RFI Analysis: Analyzing documentation, extracting customer expectations, and converting them into workable solutions. * Daily Collaboration: Engaging in extensive written and verbal communication with various IBM functions, including Sales, Procurement, Delivery, Operations, Customer Fulfillment/Q2C. **Required technical and professional expertise** The requirements for the ideal TSM candidate are technically proficient, self-driven individual with strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and advanced Excel proficiency, capable of navigating complex client needs and driving successful solutions. Requirements: * Professional Experience: A strong technical background in the Dell Server environment, with experience in creating solutions for non-standard client needs. * Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Dell Servers, market presence, and the ability to quickly absorb professional knowledge and develop technical skills. * Financial Modeling Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling to support cost and pricing calculations. * Maintenance Process Knowledge: Familiarity with maintenance processes, procedures, systems, inventory data, organization, and goal * Drive and Ownership: A self-motivated individual who can take ownership, set priorities, and work horizontally to influence their environment * Numeracy and Accuracy: Highly numerate and accurate, with strong costing and pricing application. * RFP/RFI Understanding: Ability to read, understand, and respond to RFPs and RFIs.
