As a member of a team that is known for execution, you will excel in understanding a variety of technical and business process challenges, leading technical discussions with internal and prospective customer teams and presenting complex solution demonstrations. The position requires a unique blend of business process, listening, technical design, and communication skills.
A willingness to travel up to 40% is required for this role, with some week-to-week variance.
Job Description
Key activities for the Technical Solution Consultant include:Articulating the technical aspects of our offerings to new and existing clients, including cloud architecture/services, SaaS components, product architecture, configuration/integration paths, etc. This includes providing demonstrations of our software and configuration tools where appropriate.
Supporting the sales team as an expert on the technical and SaaS aspects of Guidewire solutions throughout the sales cycle.
Partnering with the Guidewire Functional Solution Consultants for application configuration for detailed product demonstrations. (e.g: data model extensions, page configurations, and rules creation) and supporting solution-related conversations during these demonstrations
Developing solutions to unique customer problems, including in conjunction with Professional Services and Product Development as appropriate.
Identifying new platform requirements and working with Product Development to design solutions for those requirements
Responding in writing to questions and requests for information from prospects and analysts
Over time, this candidate will be expected to learn enough about the functional capabilities of our software and business problems of our customers to be able to eventually
Lead targeted functional demonstrations
Answer related functional questions
Necessary skills and expertise:Strong verbal and presentation skills
Effective and competent writing skills
Proficiency in Java and other modern programming languages
Database systems and concepts
Integration mechanisms and patterns
Processes and tools in the software development lifecycle (source control, build systems, testing)
Familiarity with cloud computing and SaaS industry trends

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000 - $193,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
