JOB PURPOSE:
Working within a Technical Service team, a position for a technically minded, customer-focused individual to service the Label business within the EMEA region is available. The successful candidate will ensure that sites comply with all customers and Westrock requirements, maintaining proactive, positive relationships with suppliers and internal and external customers. The post holder will also ensure a proactive approach to quality, using all feedback to assist the manager with a continuous improvement plan. The successful candidate will manage technical information concerning label production; they will work closely with the EMEA Technical Service team, the Technical Services Manager, local customer service teams and pre-press teams. The team member will take direction on tasks from their line manager, attend and partake in meetings, complete their performance review and perform other typical admin tasks. The team member will carry out general duties as directed by their line manager and effectively work within the preproduction environment, assisting colleagues where needed.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Technical Service Operative will oversee the following:
Collation of data from customers for new items.Create Master Estimates, Production Estimates and generate item specifications on the Radius system.Perform VWT Order, countercheck - new items.In conjunction with the manager, make use of the Westrock-approved NPI process for the EMEA region.Control revision levels and item obsolescence on Radius and other systems.Ensure correct costs captured.Where appropriate, make combi decisions and process items for combi print.Work closely with management to ensure effective internal customer-supplier relationships and teamwork.Pre-flighting artwork on a technical level.Responsible for ensuring production is to the highest quality standards and adherence to SOP guidelines and customer requirements within the Technical Service team.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and charter projects in the Project Portal on Westrock Connect.Participate in company quality programs, e.g., Internal Audits, Calibration, JDI, Gemba walks, and 5S events to identify and report problems or deviations from standards.
