Position Summary
Service technician who performs various tasks in Service Facility related to Gamma Radiography and other NDT related products and services.
Primary Responsibilities
Upon completion of an in-depth QSA Global, Inc. Training Program:
Service and repair of Gamma RT equipment, consisting of controls, guide tubes, exposure devices etc.Handling Radioactive sources and loading gamma radiography sources into devicesShipping and receiving radioactive and non-radioactive productsCalibration of instruments when neededAssist in the source/recycling/disposal operationsRepair and maintenance of x-ray devicesExtensive record keeping subject to regulatory audits.Operate a variety of radiation detection and monitoring instrumentation.Perform leak tests, transfers and disposals of sealed radioactive sources.Perform radiation and contamination surveys and decontamination activitiesPerform math calculations and data entry on a PC.Perform work as part of a team with the highest regard for safety and quality.Act as team member in an emergency response situationPerform detailed work with remote ManipulatorsSupport various operations as requiredJob Requirements
Computer literateAbility to lift 75 lbs.Able to pass extensive background test to handle radioactive material.Perform tasks in a safe manner and according to company guidelinesMinimum of High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 1 Year experience requiredBasic knowledge of Radioactive materials, NDT or strong mechanical aptitudeCompensation Information:
$25 - $30 hr.
