As a Technical Sales Support Consultant, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the growth of Cleveland Clinic’s hospital reference laboratory clients and physician markets. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care by maintaining a strong understanding of clinical standards, policies, and procedures while providing technical and operational support to the sales team and clients.
Key responsibilities include sales leadership, business development, and relationship management. You will serve as a key liaison between clients, sales representatives, and internal departments—resolving operational issues such as lost specimens, billing discrepancies, and pricing questions. Additionally, you'll play an integral role in the onboarding and training of new clients, as well as in troubleshooting client issues to ensure satisfaction and service excellence.
A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) across all CCL product lines.
Complete face-to face sales meetings alongside territory managers with physicians, schedulers, practice managers and medical staff to ensure understanding, as well as to close business, ensuring that obstacles are identified and minimized.
Maintain image (Reference Laboratory, patient-first, leading-edge provider).
Communicate opportunities, market trends, and issues to appropriate management/staff in a timely manner.
Coordinate meetings between key staff and external customer groups to improve communication and relationships in order to increase revenue and resolve customer service issues.
Act as key contact with Cleveland Clinic GPO strategy and works closely with Director of Sales and Outreach Services in identifying opportunities.
Develop and maintain knowledge and experience of relevant laboratory methods and techniques.
Manage GPO requests and ensure that deadlines are met. Responsible for GPO strategy implementation.
Ensure all information is present and submit all requests through the procedure provided.
Develop and present Data Analysis on Cleveland Clinic Turn Around Times (TAT).
Perform analysis on identified clients and determines ways to improve TAT.
Participate in Business Reviews, business retention, client presentations and training traveling when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting with strong background of laboratory systems and operations
OR High School diploma/GED and 10 years of experience in a Healthcare setting with strong background of laboratory systems and operation
Valid driver's license (VDL) and a good driving record
Excellent customer service skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Physical Requirements:
Travel is required. Must have a valid driver's license with four or fewer points and be able to drive.
Exposure to outside weather conditions or changes in air pressure when traveling.
Ability to move/lift printed materials or display equipment less than 50 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
