The Technical Sales Specialist - Purification and Pharma Analytics (PPA) - is an outstanding opportunity to drive sales initiatives within the Bioproduction Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. This role is crucial for driving near-term revenue gains and establishing a strong pipeline for future growth while maintaining current business relationships. Located in Seoul Metropolitan area, Korea, this position involves engaging with customers directly and through various channels to develop robust sales and business for PPA product segment
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new opportunities for Pharma Analytics Assays, hardware, and software adoption at customer sites.
Maintain a robust new business pipeline to meet or exceed regional and country-specific Annual Operating Plans (AOP).
Champion Pharma Analytics solutions for Korea customers, ensuring timely initiation of assay demonstrations and evaluations.
Collaborate with Application Scientists to equip customers with crucial collaterals and protocols for successful assay evaluation.
Establish relationships with key customer teams to provide regulatory-approved rapid analytical solutions.
Coordinate with Field Application Specialists (FAS) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to support assay adoption.
Apply market and field intelligence-based prospecting to identify new potential opportunities and customers.
Develop and lead account growth strategies in collaboration with Bioproduction Account Managers and global product management teams.
Develop a territory plan and work to meet AOP for Pharma Analytics.
Stay ahead of market intelligence, including competitor trends and key account developments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or related field. (Master or Ph. D preferred)
Strong understanding of downstream purification workflows in Bioproduction processes.
Outstanding communication skills and proficiency in value selling techniques.
Validated experience in selling sophisticated product/technology solutions within the Life Science industry.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of handling sales opportunities with multiple collaborators and lengthy sales cycles.
Self-motivated, passionate, and a great teammate.
Experience
7+ years of sales/technical support experience in genomics testing solution sales, with a solid understanding of QC and process development for Biologics, Vaccine, Cell & Gene Therapy customers.
Experience in biopharmaceutical/vaccine analytical development, quality, or manufacturing preferred.
Shown success in a customer-facing role.
Prior experience leading channel partners and distributors.
Travel and Location
Field-based position with a remote home office, convenient for reaching key customers.
Frequent travel required up to 50% of the time to support and sell.
