Ecolab's Nalco Water team is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join its industry leading sales team. You’ll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts. Using a consultative sales approach, you’ll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you’ll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities within existing customer base, and in major, competitively-held accounts, to meet defined territory profit increase goals.Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territoryDevelop strong relationships with key stakeholders within current and prospective customers, including plant or facility executivesEngage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levelsDemonstrate the ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accountsTerritory/Location Information:
This position is based in Montreal, QC or close surrounding areaTerritory will support Montreal to Toronto, Quebec as well as Buffalo, NYTargeted accounts are within the Global High Tech industry including data centres and microelectronics10% overnight travel requiredAs a trusted partner, your customers will rely on you for their success. Training programs are held in the field and at Ecolab's Nalco Water Headquarters in Naperville, IL; travel is arranged and paid for by Nalco Water. Based on your skill level and experience, topics covered may include technology, product, service, business and industry acumen, direct coaching and mentoring, sales management and leadership, classroom training and certifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreeFive years of technical sales or field sales support experienceBilingual, French/English due to the following reasons: the role posted will be supporting customers who are anglophone and in provinces outside of QuebecPossess valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle recordAble to travel to the US for training, meetings and customer supportImmigration sponsorship is not available for this rolePreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experienceWorking knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systemsAnnual Compensation Range:
This position has base salary and is eligible for incentive compensation based on performance, per plan terms. Eligibility for incentive compensation will commence upon successful completion of training. Total expected compensation is in the range of $111,200.00 - 139,100.00
Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
