Technical Sales Manager Cell Therapy

We are leaders in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine and develop, produce and market innovative medicines, solutions and services in more than 110 countries and regions. **Summary** : The Technical Sales Manager will focus on the scientific and technical aspects of new business acquisition in the cell and gene therapy space. Acting as a lead generator and a critical link between the market and internal teams, this role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive adoption of raw materials such as Leukopaks, Human Serum Albumin (HSA), and Male AB Serum for ATMP (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products) manufacturing. **Primary Responsibilities:** 1. Scientific and Technical Consultation 2. Conduct deep-dive discussions with researchers, scientists, and process development teams to understand their specific raw material requirements for ATMP manufacturing. 3. Serve as a scientific liaison, providing expert guidance on product specifications, donor screening criteria, and collection protocols to ensure alignment with customer needs. 4. Lead Generation and Market Engagement 5. Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities by attending scientific conferences, webinars, and industry events. 6. Engage directly with potential customers to understand their research or clinical goals and position our materials as enabling solutions. 7. Liaison with Product Management and Marketing 8. Collaborate with Product Management to provide real-time market feedback on customer needs and emerging scientific trends. 9. Partner with Marketing to develop technical content (white papers, case studies, presentations) that educates and attracts new leads. 10. Product Qualification and Due Diligence 11. Lead technical discussions around product feasibility and qualification for cGMP applications. 12. Support customer due diligence by providing detailed documentation and scientific data demonstrating material suitability. 13. Answering Scientific Inquiries 14. Act as the primary scientific contact for prospects, addressing questions on donor selection, material quality, and regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA). 15. Address and overcome scientific and regulatory objections from QA, regulatory, and process development teams. 16. Other duties as assigned. **Additional Responsibilities:** + Ability to travel up to 30–40% of the time for conferences, customer visits, and industry events. + Occasional international travel may be required to support global accounts and attend major scientific meetings. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Strong scientific knowledge of cell therapy workflows and donor material specifications. + Excellent communication, consultative selling, and relationship-building skills. + Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. + Basic understanding of supply chain, orders, or quality processes (training provided). + Ability to learn CRM and ERP tools; good Excel/PowerPoint skills. + Problem-solving mindset and willingness to escalate issues. + Team player, comfortable in a fast-paced environment. **Education and Experience:** + MSc or PhD in a life science discipline required. + 8 Years technical sales or business development experience with a minimum of 5 years within the cell/gene therapy area. + Familiarity with raw materials for ATMP manufacturing and regulatory frameworks (GMP, FDA, EMA). **Occupational Demands:** Occupational Demands Form # 3: Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Pay scale of $116,000.00 - $174,000.00 per year for US Residents depending on training, education and experience. This position is eligible to participate in up to $80,000.00 annual commissions. .
