Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Safety (Process) Lead to provide expert guidance on process safety and technical risk management for a major offshore development. The role involves leading safety engineering activities across design, construction, and commissioning phases, with a strong focus on floating production systems. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of process safety strategies and deliverables. Oversee hazard identification and risk assessment processes (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA). Ensure compliance with international safety standards and regulatory requirements. Review and approve safety-critical engineering documents and drawings. Interface with engineering, operations, and HSE teams to integrate safety into design. Support incident investigations and root cause analysis as required. Coordinate with classification societies and third-party safety consultants. Provide technical leadership during safety reviews and audits. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 10 years’ experience in technical/process safety within offshore oil & gas projects. Strong background in FPU/FPSO design and operations. Proficient in safety analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., BowtieXP, PHAST, PHA-Pro). Familiarity with DNV, ABS, API, IEC, and other relevant standards. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional certification. Experience with high-pressure systems and complex topside processing. Exposure to international regulatory environments and multi-cultural teams.
